There are many posts and blogs about books but only a few actually suggest books most of them just list the many many books and the students are confused. There are several types of students and each needs different set of books. Some start preparation from class 8, some from 9, and majority from class 11. I have written posts about different classes and subjects. The posts are precise and contain about only the useful books. BOOKS FOR MATHEMATICS

  You need to practice a lot for Mathematics. Solving your coaching material is a must. If you going for self study, practice from Skills in Mathematics series of Arihant.Even coaching students can solve arihant it will give you a good practice. After that, make sure to check the previous question papers.   To advanced preparation, you can solve subjective problems from A Das Gupta.   I have heard cengage is good too. So you can try it but do only one out of arihant and cengage You can also try this book(popularly known as black book) towards the end of your preparation or after JEE mains january, it contains some really good problems for JEE Advanced.

BOOKS FOR CHEMISTRY

There is a dearth of good books having proper theory. I have listed the books which I personally  used for JEE preparation  NOTE: Many people are selling forged editions of chemistry textbooks even with the same cover. I have checked the links and provided the latest and original ones.So you can buy thorugh these. NCERT is a must both for JEE and NEET Organic Chemistry – Solomons.  , MS Chauhan for problems  Inorganic Chemistry – JEE edition of JD LEE . It is adapted to the JEE syllabus and the irrelevant sections are avoided.  For Physical Chemistry- P Bahadur , RC Mukherjee for solving numericals. For NEET, a combination of NCERT Chemistry and previous year question papers is perfect . Previous year papers is a must

BOOKS FOR PHYSICS

  Physics is common for both JEE and NEET, however it is only a bit tougher for JEE and relatively easy for NEET.Get yourself enrolled in a good coaching class as a teacher is there to guide your preparation and solve all related doubts. If you religiously solve your coaching material and the books stated below, you will easily crack JEE/NEET  . HC Verma  – Questions given here are more than enough for JEE Main. If the coaching material is covered properly, then   HC Verma   won’t take much time to solve.  HC Verma is a must For JEE Advanced –  DC Pandey series  of books are good as they contain suitable numericals . Previous papers are also very important as you get to know the real flavour of questions which are asked in the examination. You can gauge your preparation with these question papers. For NEET, coaching material, NCERT, previous question papers are enough.You can solve HC Verma if aiming for top rank. ...

BOOKS FOR CLASS 10TH

  Here are some helpful books for class 9th:   (Note - I have not used all of them, I have also taken refernece from my freinds, I have good reviews of these books. I have carefully checked these books to ensure that you are redirected to the correct edition in the links below)  Although it might sound crazy, but I have many friends who started their JEE preparation in class 8th and complete HC Verma in class 9th and 10th. So its always  good to start early. Importance of taking breaks between studies

 1. In this hyper competitive world, we want to do the maximum amount of work everyday, without any breaks. And this often comes at a cost. Be it sleep, eating or mental peace, we compromise some of the things that are essential for our well-being. 2. However this is not at all advised. Most of the people cannot function in the ways described in the previous point, without getting burnt out or attracting lifestyle diseases. So it is very crucial to take breaks at the right time so that we can function at a high level without compromising our fitness. 3. A very good example is to look at the athletes who have been performing for more than 15 years at the highest level. While they give out their maximum on the grounds, they know the importance of recovering well and giving the body proper amount of rest. 4.
