BOOKS

There are many posts and blogs about books but only a few actually suggest books most of them just list the many many books and the students are confused. There are several types of students and each needs different set of books. Some start preparation from class 8, some from 9, and majority from class 11. I have written posts about different classes and subjects. The posts are precise and contain about only the useful books. So check them out according to which category you belong. • Books for class 8th   • Books for class 9th   • Books for class 10th   For those who are in class 11th or 12th, check out these. • Books for Physics • Books for Chemistry • Books for Mathematics Many posts on books coming soon  Check out the JEE and Productivity section for more... Comment down if you have any doubts...

What toppers do special...

Toppers are no special they are just ordinary people doing hardwork different from others. This qualities and be almost in every topper.

  • Never fool yourself
  • You are the easiest person to fool, and you really don’t want that to happen. I always run these reality checks on myself about everything – be it small things like a question (ask yourself if you truly understand it) or your life goals (if what you’re working on is viable/doable).
  • Work like crazy
  • This is a no brainer. You cannot expect greatness without hard work – be it studies, exams, or a startup. You have to give your everything without expecting results. Even to this day I try to make every second productive.
  • Keep on trying new stuff
  •  Students tend to focus only on JEE during their preparation. But you must have something of that Interests you and take out some time each day to do it. I was personally very interested in Astronomy and Astrophysics and was learning it everyday. Your learning will diversify and you will have better perspectives.
  • Have good company
  •  Very important. Don’t talk to bullshit people who just fuck around with your time. You have to filter well. I hangout/befriend/ with a selected few people. I can’t give my time to anyone unless they prove that it’s worth it.
  • Take risks
  • I took a risk by not studying for JEE in 11th and focusing on my  Astronomy and Astrophysics studies which was my ultimate goal. These push me against all odds to succeed – as you have no cushion to fall back on (so you HAVE to make it happen).
  • Listen to your heart
  •  I wanted to go for coaching in 9th – I did. I wanted to learn more tha just JEE and I did. I wanted to have more success than just IIT and started working for it. I realised that my real passion lies in Astrophysics and started strengthing it . I don’t follow the crowd but do what’s good for me.
  • Seek inspiration but not role models
  •  I always have had some highly successful figure as my inspiration – some version of guru Drona. I just look upto him and try to understand how he did what he did. BUT I never want to be like them as I know my story will be different. So don’t keep role models, but seek inspiration.
